The culture of prosperity

In this Boxing day devoted to some reflection, not soul searching, I've reminisce about the decades of excelent economic growth starting in the 1950's ... happening after the great Depression and World War 2, with the adoption of this mass culture based in the media and computer science. Maybe it was a bit of the Einstein influence that made people deposit their hope in technological development, which did change our world for the better... but something seems to be on a miss. This was the culture were the belief was that happiness was (is) attainable through great achievement. Hum, not everything (or everyone) is as it seems. Sociologically, things are more complicated today, environmental issues are of big concern and we live with this sensation that all has beem invented.
